Best Safari Duration : Between 06:30 am and 11:00 pm

The waters off the north-west coast of Sri Lanka are famous for dolphin spotting. Large groups of Spinner Dolphins can be found just off Kalpitiya, gliding in magnificent blue waters. Kalpitiya is also famous for its Bar Reef, the largest coral reef (307 square km) in Sri Lanka. Bar Reef can be reached by an hour’s boat trip from Kalpitiya and serves as the ideal location for keen scuba divers and snorkelers.
